Heritage Park Historical Village

Heritage Park embarked on a restoration of a rare 1929 River Forth rail car to transform it into a fully functional elegant dining car. Our role in the restoration was to remove 85 years of old paint, primer, rust scale, corrosion, stains, oils, grease, dirt and grime, and prepare the metal surface for re-application of new coatings.

Gator Concrete

During the 2013 Alberta floods, the Saddledome flooded up to the eighth row, causing extensive damage that required concrete repair. Wetblast was hired for surface preparation of the perimeter concrete joints on the exterior of the building, and to remove loosened and falling chunks of concrete and other debris.

Bridge Repairs

Ardy Rigging Ltd.

Ardy Rigging provides the highly-specialized service of heat-straightening repairs to steel bridge structures throughout Alberta. Ardy Rigging subcontracted Wetblast.ca to blast clean sections of the steel bridges over QE 2 & Highway 11 between Red Deer and Sylvan Lake and Highway 16 (Yellowhead ) Highway at Acheson. Wetblast worked closely with the Ardy Rigging crew to safely manoeuvre lifts under the bridge to blast clean during the night shift to remove paint, rust pack and hydralic fluids and leave the surface clean; optimal for the heat straightening tools.

Building Restoration

Ramsay Design Center

The Ramsey Design Centre is a low brick building on the East side of 11 Street SE , located in the community of Ramsey. The iconic Ramsey Design Centre, a pleasant walk from Calgary's historic Inglewood community, was Originally built in 1919 by Western Steel. It has subsequently been host to numerous other industrial and business operations, including supplying ammunitions during WWII. Today it is the choice office space for a selection of creative and stylish enterprises including: Fast FWDAvenue Magazine, RedPoint Media and Barre Body Studio. During restoration operations, Wetblast.ca removed many paint layers and decades of colour changes on the interior brick and fir timber support posts. Western Canada Showroom Restoration

The French Barn

The owners of high-end appliance retailer The French Barn were building a showroom, but the former exterior side of this 80-year-old wall was now on the interior and was not showing well. In an 8-hour period, Wetblast removed layer upon layer of exterior paint, dirt, grime, and graffiti, tranforming this liability into a unique accent with a touch of old-world class.
